Benjamin Sarfo Okrah: Founder, Technical Lead

Benjamin is a Founding Partner at OBeG. He assumes the roles of Technical Lead, Project Management among other things. His passion comes from applying graphical and statistical methods to understanding biochemical systems. He has published a patent on sustainable hydrogen production process. He is multidisciplinary engineer with degrees in Electrical, Geodetic and Chemical Engineering. After studying for his masters degree at the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, Benjamin found his passion in biochemical systems and has never looked back.

Werner Berkel: Business Coach (Management)

Werner is responsible for the management and organization of OBeG. He has been an interim manager and consultant for a couple of start up companies supported by HTGF (High-Tech Gründerfonds). Werner served as the CEO of Hewlett Packard Deutschland, Böblingen (1999-2004) and Agilent Technologies Deutschland, Böblingen (2004-2008).

Prof. Erhard Hoffmann (KIT): Scientific Advisor

Prof. Hoffmann is the Scientific Advisor on technical topics and provides facilities for research work. He is a Professor and head of Process Technology group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). In addition, he carries out quality inspection of small wastewater treatment plants in the order of the German Institute for Bautechnik, Berlin. He has spent many years working as freelancer and consultant in the field of municipal and industrial Wastewater Treatment.

Joana Turkson: Marketing Manager

Joana is responsible for marketing and public relations of OBeG. Joana holds a degree in Chemistry from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Her speciality is in the field of biochemistry and assist OBeG with technical topics as well. She has previously worked with Imo GmbH, Straubenhardt – Germany at qualtiy control and marketing division. She was involved with testing and final inspection of devices before the delivery of customer orders.
